I think that I should start\u00a0a small Python project with someone to get more Git practice. (I also recently found\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rogerdudler.github.io\/git-guide\/\">a helpful\u00a0page<\/a> for remembering the main points of Git.) EDIT: Someone just linked me to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pcottle.github.io\/learnGitBranching\/\">this tutorial<\/a> for learning to use Git better.<\/li>\n<li>Start using\u00a0a fully-fledged code IDE like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jetbrains.com\/pycharm\/\">PyCharm<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/spyder-ide\">Spyder<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Checkout\u00a0the interactive browser-based IDE <a href=\"http:\/\/ipython.org\/\">IPython<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Host my own Python server for $5\/month on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pythonanywhere.com\">PythonAnywhere.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Learn Flask (which is supposedly easier than Django)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other news, I recently purchased two books on Amazon that should be arriving later this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1593274246?psc=1&amp;redirect=true&amp;ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00\">Think Like a Programmer: An Introduction to Creative Problem Solving<\/a>\u00a0by V. Anton Spraul<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1492339245?psc=1&amp;redirect=true&amp;ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00\">Python for Informatics: Exploring Information<\/a> by\u00a0Dr. Charles R.\u00a0Severance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also started\u00a0studying\u00a0Android development on <a href=\"https:\/\/teamtreehouse.com\/h\">Treehouse<\/a>. Having a program developed for Android is great because at an interview\u00a0I will\u00a0be able to show employers a project simply by taking\u00a0out my phone.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 254px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/people.cs.clemson.edu\/~mark\/330\/kidder\/mv8000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"205\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Data General Eclipse MV\/8000<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also been reading\u00a0<a id=\"itemName_IOGO731SNJFNH\" class=\"a-link-normal\" title=\"The Soul of A New Machine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/0316491977\/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&amp;colid=37XTFUZCNPVYZ&amp;coliid=IOGO731SNJFNH\">The Soul of A New Machine<\/a>\u00a0by Tracy Kidder.\u00a0It won the Pulitzer Prize and is the story of the Data General Corporation trying to create a new 32-bit minicomputer in the 1970s. It really shows the high-paced world of computer-development at the time and the\u00a0people then who\u00a0lived purely for the challenge of inventing and creating something radical and new.
