We will be giving a presentation titled “The New Gold Star: Digital Badges as Motivators” at the Framingham Hotel and Conference Center in Framingham, MA. The presentation has been scheduled for 10:30am–11:15am, in room 6: Carlisle. You can find our entire proposal here and the abstract below:
Digital badges are a new, compelling way to motivate and reward students. In this session, a methodology will be described for incorporating digital badges into an adult ESL classroom with the goal of increasing intrinsic motivation among students. Findings will be summarized and implications for future research will be discussed.
