Atypical ramblings

8 A.M. Valentine

Outside the world is frigid frozen,
The day is young and white,
My dreams dissolve and dissipate,
Like ghosts before the light

The dripping of the icicles,
Pulls me to the day,
No gentle breathing at my side,
Beckons me to stay

My heart feels like a captain,
Without a ship or crew,
A class without a teacher,
Or a foot without a shoe

A rocket with no moon or stars,
To travel to on high,
A kite without a lofty breeze,
To ride into the sky

A car without an engine,
Or a deck without an ace,
How many mornings I yearn to see,
A smile on your face

This morning, just like every other,
I wish and hope and pray,
That soon we will be together
Song Jie, Happy Valentines Day
